On 1 April 2026, the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Act 2023 (the Act) was amended by specifying that the Police Service is an entity in the Act.
This means that Tasmania Police is now included in the Act for the purposes of the Child and Youth Safe Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme and in Information Sharing.
